Shift - A Merlin Fanfiction

Laila Webb is a shapeshifter and a witch. She lived in the village neighbouring Ealdor and befriended Merlin as a child by saving him multiple times from his bullies and teaching him how to control his magic. Merlin moved to Camelot but Laila continued to keep an eye on him by hiding as a black wolf in the forest. After Arthur's death, Merlin began travelling so Laila moved back to her village. Big mistake. A plague struck and she was unlucky enough to catch it. She almost died too. But she was saved, in a way.

The Last Priestess, Morgana Pendragon is now merely a ghost but still holds her magic. She wants revenge on the one who killed her. Merlin. In her spiritually form, she learns about Laila and the relationship she had with Merlin and goes to her village. There, she cures Laila and the remaining villagers of the plague but for a price. Laila must now obey Morgana and do what she says or the cure will be revoked and her life lost.

Morgana gets Laila a position in the royal household as Queen Guinevere's maidservant so they can carry out the revenge. But will Laila go through with every bit of it? That's the question.

P.P.S. The only knights that are dead in my fiction are Lancelot and Elyan. NOT Gwaine! ( I don't believe him to be dead anyway).
