As the robots continued to make more of themselves and become powerful, kids were mainly targeted as they were seen as bad to the mechanical monstrosity that was ruining the city. A teenager tried to keep most of the kids safe and hid them well, making sure they were safe with mothers and fathers who had already suffered losses of their own children being taken and enslaved. At the start of the government taking over, a group of people was forced out of the city due to their ignorance, according to the government that is. It became a comforting story to the scared kids that they'll come back and save them, told by the teenager who risks his life to save them. Artificial intelligence has become an integral facet of everyday life, from transportation, business, and even in the world of medicine where many pay top dollar to have their organic forms cybernetically enhanced with technology and A.I. for life longevity. But at the same time, this technology is used to create synthetic android weapons of war. Among those weapons, a former Nation's Army combat android by the designation of AX-15. After being critically incapacitated in action, AX-15 was rendered unfit for service and was practically thrown out onto the streets. However, the android had been discovered by a smooth-talking mercenary that still found use for the combat androids' capabilities and given him the new name of Axis. The two go on to become the most feared hitmen in the underground, going by the name "Machina Mortis". The year is 2028, society is frustrating and competitive. Although PD-4001 only has one plan at the start; to travel as far as possible, it eventually meets up with a group of rescued androids, and together they go to live with the pacifist monks of the Lily Temple. Circumstances do however force them on an extended journey in which they discover human society, their own origin and purpose and existence itself. I wrote this novel back in 2018-2019 and revised it in 2020-2021, but it was first now that I realized I should post it online. I have been thinking about making a "remaster" with better plot, more likely language and more dynamical world building. So maybe that will happen. They decided that everyone who rebelled against them or did anything bad would be put into a perfect android body which was devoid of doing anything wrong. But, they would also be drained of their freedom and emotion. They would be slaves to the government. The majority submitted to the government's orders. But some didn't.
