Gemma Hart never wanted to be a part of the world she was taught to fear, but after a tragic accident took her mother away from her, she is left with no other choice. Stuck at Tala Academy, a school for the children of Naturalia, Gemma slowly starts to realize that not everything is as simple as it seems. When Gemma, alongside a couple of unexpected friends, decides to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding her mother's death, centuries-old secrets begin to unravel. Soon enough, Gemma realizes the investigation isn't about figuring out her mother's death but about saving the people she loves from a world bent on destroying them.
