"Hello? Yeah, she's asleep right now, babe." At those words my jaw dropped, and eyes widened to the size of saucers. I whimpered but placed a hand over my mouth, to shut myself up. This had to be some kind of sick joke, right? No, Kirishima would never fool around like that, would he? I must've been dreaming- no, having a nightmare. I must've been. I was hearing all of this wrong, it was probably all a misunderstanding.
"(Y/N)? Nah, she isn't as hot as you are~, and no, I don't love her, haha. . . She's a piece of trash. I can't believe I've managed to last so long with her. One of these days, I'm gonna dump her ass and devote myself all to you~." That was when the tear dropped, I hadn't realized I'd been crying until I felt something wet land on my cheek. I quietly sobbed into my hand and closed my eyes. I really was living a nightmare.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
