More tears started falling when I felt a clawed finger brush the salvia away. I whimpered when I heard it speak: "It's okay. I'm only here to protect you and help you." Lissie is being stalked and she does not know what to do or who to tell. She does not know what is following her. REVOLVING MIRRORS opens with the main character, Tatum Blackwood, delving into her diary searching for her identity through God and her physical appearance. Not being able to find either one, Tatum decides to meet with her therapist, Dr. Codwell, whom she hasn't seen in 12 years, since her mother's death. During her brief but intense session with Dr. Codwell, Tay revisited a relationship that ended with the murder of her affaired lover and shortly after an obvious confession, but not even scratching the surface of what was underneath her pain. After deciding to see her therapist, she needed a good dose of friend therapy. Unfortunately, Tatum still wasn't ready to discuss her real issues, a Black woman with Googled diagnosed anorexia and newly added schizophrenia. So, she decided to do what she always does, divert the conversation to something else. This something was Kurt and Addison. Ending the first volume the same way it began, Tatum finds herself in her diary still confused and running from what was truly troubling her... Him. It was him. Not Addison. Nor Kurt. It was him, and the uncertainty of what truly happened. Was he acting innocently or natively? Could it have been jealousy? Or maybe what was once sweet to him turned bitter. Deciding to finally find out the truth, she grabbed her favorite wand, her strongest crystal, and hurried to see the High Priestess Ade-Ifatayo. The banging starts again but this time a lot louder. I can hear the girls screaming up stairs. I pick up my phone and dial 911. "Hello this is 911 what's your emergency?" "There are a bunch of wolves outside my house. I think they have rabies or something I'm not sure." The banging gets louder and I can feel my face getting wet from the tears. "Mamm did you say wolves are there?" "Yes Yes there are wolves about 10 of them out here in my front yard. I need help!" I hang up the phone and sit on the end of the stair case. I close my eyes and start praying. Something I haven't done in a while. "I have faith, there is a god. I have faith, there is a god, I have faith, there is a god." I repeat over and over. The glass breaks and I start screaming. I stand up and try to scramble up the stairs. The door comes falling down and there are about 10 wolves standing in front of my door. A woman emerges and walks toward me. She snaps her fingers and the pretty brown wolf is in front of me. Right there by my face. "Ridanna you know what to do." Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. I feel like there is no such thing as pain and I feel light as if I can float off the Earth. Fine as hell white boy with a pro-black activist fall for each other. Cherise Miss Activist doesn't want to date Zaire the fine as hell white boy not for his race but for his secrets. What if he had a past he didn't tell you about and the only way you found out is because the past came to kill you? And I'm not talking werewolves and vampires. Cherise would only wish for problems for they would be so simple compared to hers and Zaire's. If any woman found out Zaire's secrets they'd take off running to the nearest police station or they end up in a body bag in the end. Depends....which will come first?Complete

"What reason do I have to lie?" He looked up at me with squinted eyes. "Hmm, Maybe because YOU KIDNAPPED ME?" I yelled at him, throwing whatever was closest to me, which happened to be the plate I had just eaten off of. The plate missed his head but hit the wall behind him with a thump, it shattered to pieces onto the couch, food splattering all over. His eyes glazed over with anger. "Did you just throw that at my head?" He asked in a scary calm tone. I gulped, "Maybe if you weren't such an asshole I wouldn't have." I spoke, my voice shaking as much as my body was. "I'm not an asshole!" He yelled at me as he stood to his feet, and in two long strides made his way over to me. He grabbed me by the arms and pushed his face inches away from mine. Wanting to push his buttons, I did the only thing I could think of. "Only an asshole would say that." I told him, my voice low. I was mad and I wanted to see what he would do. He held my arms down. I laughed in his face, "What are you gonna do? Hit me?" I pushed, I wanted to prove a point, I wanted to show him how much of a monster he truly is. He released his grip, "No. No I'm not." He stood up and walked towards the door, running his hands through his hair. I was surprised, but decided to push further, to see how far I could actually push him. "Why not? You've done it before." I pointed out, my confidence growing now that he didn't hit me for that. He leaned on the door frame, his back to me. "Because I can't do it!" He yelled, turning around to face me. He strode towards me, anger fuming off of him. I cowarded away from him, scared he was going to hit me again. But, I wanted him to, just to make a point, but he did something that surprised me a lot more. He kissed me. *** April Hastings, a seemingly normal girl is abducted by her handsome boss. Humans build massive labyrinthian structures underneath the earth in order to do away with the reeking turds that come out of their assholes on a daily basis. Mountains and mountains of shit, supposedly flushed away out of sight and out of mind. But in truth, the whole world is made of shit; physical shit, verbal shit, conceptual shit, mental shit, the shit that haunts your dreams at night, chasing you through darkened hallways that seem to go on forever. At an art gallery on the other side of your town, a curator is admiring the work of a cracked-out junkie, an abstract painting made with his blood, pus, and shit on a massive sheet of off-white canvas. He nods and produces a subtle Mona Lisa smile as he internally blocks out the wretched stench wafting towards his mustache-laden face. "Mhmm... I value this work at 2 bazillion dollars." The junkie twitches with uncontrolled excitement at this pronouncement. Back across town, you're sitting in the bedroom of your apartment, located directly above the spot in an alleyway where someone's mee-maw got hacked to death by a machete-wielding schizoid maniac just a day ago, her brown curdled blood still drying in the cracks between the bricks. Attacks like that are routine these days. It didn't even make the evening news. On your phone screen, a female "book influencer" with ample breasts, caked-on makeup, and a thousand-yard SSRI stare bemoans the fact that "men are less empathetic and media literate because they don't read books anymore!" Suddenly, all of the metaphysical mental shit that has been flushed into the swirling void of the global infosphere travels through unseen psychokinetic piping to congeal in front of you in the form of this very book.Complete
