Becky's been away from home, portraying the role of Nessarose in the National tour of Wicked. She'd seen her family when they played in New Jersey and when she had her vacation week with them. She missed her mom and dad. But most of all she missed her little sister.
Upon her arrival home she discovers that there has been a change in the family that threatens to pull them all apart. Becky struggles to find her place in the business and in her family. She hates being 'Mandy's daughter' is convinced that that's why she landed a particular role when she knew she fluffed up the audition.
However when rehearsals start, she begins to fall for her co-star and everything changes as she learns to be herself, be independent and be a Broadway actress. She begins to realise that she has to embrace who her mother is as everything she knows about the business came from her.
