There are many dimensions. One is known as Thazguz; from Thazguz come the demons, evil monsters intent on conquering them all. All of the dimensions are more primitive than Earth, and only technology that every dimension shares can transported to a dimension. From Earth comes a magical group known as simply, the Guardians. They transport between the dimensions to protect against the demons.
Caspar Lancaster is introduced as the demons prepare to launch and assualt.
