"Kill me if you must, but I shall not bow to a king who wears a crown studded with jewels of every life he has ended." I spat on his feet.

The smirk remained on his pale face. So pale, I could see the veins. His blue eyes staring at me with intensity. They were dark, they could swallow me in.

"You question me assassin? You question your king?" He growled.

He pulled me up by my hair. He was surely enjoying the show he was exhibiting in front of the world.

"I want you to be an example for the world, for what happens when you disobey your king." He said with gritted teeth.

Suddenly, the ice under my feet became unbearably cold, the winds stopped with the fear of being executed for being an unbidden friend. The world stopped. When a tear escaped the eyes of the cold hearted king.
