Willa is your average sixteen year old girl. The only thing that sets her apart from most teenagers is the fact that she has been in 5 different foster homes. When she was just seven years old her mother committed suicide and her father was wrongly convicted of murder. So her and her little brother have been in and out of the system for the last nine years of their lives. Her brother, Max, is only five and barely knew their parents. But Willa will do anything to protect her brother. So when they finally land in a foster home that provides for them the way a real family should, will this be their chance at finally finding their missing link to happiness? Or will the dark cloud of despair that has followed them for almost a decade continue to wreck havoc on their lives?
