The government has changed. Democracy no longer reigns supreme, but wealth and stats. Oppressive and domineering politicians argue about taxation opportunities. Families with children over the age of twelve must pay taxes depending on the age. If a household is collecting an income from boarders, half of the income must go to the government. If a household is holding persons that are not immediate family, the household owners must pay a tax. There are also bracket procedures that must be followed to help the government identify which bracket the child’s family fall into. Bracket One must name their children names beginning with A – F. Bracket Two is between G – L. Bracket Three: M – R. And Bracket Four: S – Z. But Ariya’s family – in hiding from the government - didn’t believe in that system. And for whatever reason, the government want Ariya.
