The mysterious Seawing didn't budge. Its scales shimmered with an otherworldly glow, faint veins of light tracing patterns like constellations. The way it stood, poised and silent, made it clear that this was no ordinary dragon.
"I've been waiting for you," the Seawing replied in a voice that sent a shiver down Vespera's spine. "Or rather, I've been waiting for her."
The Seawing's gaze flicked to Vespera, and for a moment, she felt as if it could see into the deepest parts of her soul. She frowned, trying to gather her thoughts. "For me?" she asked, her voice cautious but firm. "Who are you?"
