Virgil was never accepted in with the other sides. None of them even know his name! Roman, the prince, Thomas's creativity hates him the most. He's always insulting him and telling him how awful he is or how he ruins anything remotely good for Thomas. Logan doesn't like him because Virgil makes him furious most of the time. Patton treats him like his son, and always tries to include him, always seeing hope in him. Virgil hates himself as much as it is, so he usually spends time listening to music, or being in his room. Or both. He's not really an enjoyed side, as he knows that. He's just doing his job, but when one side hears something on the other side of his door, everything changes.

Prince Roman of the Ironfelt Kingdom is well known for being a heroic, flirtatious man. Everyone respects him, and sees him as a mighty hero, however as much of a hero he is, he's lonely. His only real friend is his Royal Assistant Logan Crofters. Lord Virgil Anxiety of the Dark Forest is the ruler and protector of the dark forest. Virgil Anxiety Black was in his room recovering from a panic attack when the castle is stormed. His best friend, Remus Lucious, has just enough time to help him escape before throwing himself back into the battle in an effort to save his boyfriend and Virgil's brother, Crown Prince Janus. Virgil finds himself running through the woods and unknowingly crosses the border between his kingdom and the kingdom next door.
