In the Empire of Isles, prisoners have a chance of regaining their freedom once a year: the Challenge. There, they fight to the death in various phases on a nationally televised channel, until only one is left remaining and named victor.

An heir to the Empire is chosen during a contest known as the Praelium, where nobles and those sponsored by noble houses attempt to win over the people and prove they are honorable enough to wear the crown. Once there are only sixteen remaining, they then fight to the death in ritual combat. Only the strongest becomes the next Emperor or Empress.

When her brother is arrested and forced to partake in the year's Challenge, Rei finds herself navigating the intricacies and scandals of the courtly life in order to get close enough to save him. This year is different: the country might be facing a war, and a betrothal to a prince of another land awaits the winner. As she progresses through the Praelium, Rei quickly learns no one can be an ally and that she must do things she is not proud of once again in order to save her brother.

After all, if the only person you loved could die at any moment, what would you do to save them? What would you become?

In the kingdom of Gomorrah where a king is the living host to a god greedy for dominion on earth and women are deemed unfit for battlefields. Twenty-year-old Olivia Denali is happy to be the only walking contradiction, pursuing a career as an arena fighter and shattering unjust conventions. As the daughter of a revered former army General and the descendant of legendary male warriors, Olivia has lived with the continual reminder that as a female, she has to prove her worth by winning every fight. If it means suffering constant denigration from cynics for such a glory she will suffer through every battle she fights. When Olivia is thrown into the fighting pit as bait for some of the kingdom's most fearsome and respected fighters, it's a challenging battle until she is struck by heavenly fire. She becomes the first female Vessel to ever be chosen by the god of fire and fury for the commemoration of the Divine Tournament, where seven opponents must participate in a bloody battle of trials until only one remains as the victor to become the next divine ruler. Olivia values her own free will and the last thing she wants is to be a pawn in the gods' game of dominion. But Olivia realizes that the Tournament is the perfect opportunity to prove that like men, women can be great warriors too. With mounting tension from cynics, assassination attempts, threats from those in a higher power who do not wish to see a woman on the throne and, dangerous opponents, Olivia is aware that the odds are stacked against her. If she is to win she'll have to outsmart the God-king who isn't above using his vestige of divine power to commit political treachery toward Vessels.

Til Death Tears Me Apart Once Again [Discontinued]

41 parts Complete

"If I'm going to die anyway, there's no point in trying to live." A typical reincarnated into a villainess story, except the protagonist isn't your typical 'I want my happy ending protagonist', but a death seeker. XX 《'Til Death Tears Me Apart, I Will Always Love You》is a very successful otome game. As much praise and admiration the game recieves, it is also, however, notorious for being absurdly difficult. One wrong step and the player would be drowning in an ocean of death flags, for both the Heroine and the Capture Targets. Anything short of perfection wouldn't even get the player a glimpse of a happy ending for the Capture Target the player chose. Enter me; Just a simple, normal girl reincarnated into a game as dangerous as that, as the villainess no less. Destined to die no matter what, I think there's no point in me trying to fight fate. If I'm going to die regardless, might as well die sooner rather than later. But that desire for death causes more than just a few changes to the definite plot; From little ones that have no effect at all, to life changing ones that may destroy the world of Arraxus. So the God of the world makes a deal with me: They'll give me a peaceful and happy afterlife, as long as I get a happy ending for myself. "Let the game begin!" -- Discontinued.
