After receiving another rejection letter from her tenth magazine submission, Sarah had been longing to create a third chapbook and decided this was the perfect opportunity to compile her poems and short stories for her third chapbook, "Corrupted Minds."

It tries to make sense of the past and explores trauma head on in an unfiltered way that leaves no room for denial. It's a documentation of my entire life, moments both sun kissed and dark. A book written with the new understanding that expressing how you feel is absolutely vital. Most of my poems come from personal experience and some topics may be sensitive to some readers. Some themes included consist of toxic household environments, the loss of loved ones, abusive relationships, suicidal thoughts and actions, and struggling with mental illness.

She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. Tired of trying to be everything. Trying to be perfect. Wrong paths and wrong people and missed opportunities. Am I letting my mental illness take over my life? A look into the mind of a BPD, Anxiety ridden woman. With no identity but her Panic. With my ways it's hard to keep down anything healthy, relationships that don't last but stay with me like my own personal demons. And evil around the corner you'd never see coming. The pain changes you. Trauma changes you. It strips you away from yourself. BPD strips away your identity sometimes I guess this is my way of finding myself again, through writing and reflecting and realizing it is okay to be hurting.
