Surrounded by adults she can't trust , and harboring a secret so ludicrous that no one would believe it, Cheza begins running down a road with more twists and turns than her young body can hardly keep up with. The end is too far away, but at the end somewhere waits Master Chief.

Through him, they are afforded opportunities to seize the sword. He is more than a mentor. Pike is an active participant in their journeys. Together the characters are greater than the sum of all parts.
