It's the year 2376 and the world is falling apart. Natural disasters occur weekly with little or no warning- maybe an earthquake on Sunday, a tsunami on Tuesday and to end the week a landslide that would ruin farmlands and crush travellers. Everybody was scared. The human race was dying. They had to adapt, had to teach themselves how to survive. The remnants of society were all worried about the future, worried if our race would survive on the hellish planet. They decided to something had to be done, something that would help the future generations survive. And so, Calamity Academy was born.

"Life isn't always what you want it to be, what you hope it will be. In fact, hope is irrelevant. Nothing can save you here." When the world is in disarray, heroes always rise to the challenge. They walk on a thin line of fate, but what if fate is against them? The life of a hero is a tragic one, sacrifices must be made when you carry the world on your shoulders. The Academy of the Unique and Talented has always been there to create heroes out of broken kids, it's a safe place for those who need it. Stars are colliding as four kids face their past, present, and future. Allies rise as a sinister void may mark the beginning of the end. A crow watches from the shadows as the darkness looms, threatening to consume all. The world is a cruel place, but heroes have to be ready to take the hit, if only to shield the world for a bit longer. Because that's all they're good for, right?
