After her mother's death, Marcy loses her will to live and forgets the reason why she loved life in the first place. After finding a final note from her mother, she finally breaks.
Her childhood friend, whom she nicknamed Lavender, decides to make it his mission to remind Marcy about all the good things in life, with the help of her drunken Uncle, a grumpy dog and a van that should have been disposed of five years ago.
They embark on a journey as Marcy tries to find herself again, and find out more about her mother.
