Everybody fears the day they turn eighteen.
The day they are put to the test of their lifetime.
The day the government decides whether they can live, or die.
Morgan Chandler is one of those people. She is seventeen years old, her eighteenth birthday only a few months away. The government has executed more and more people each year, trying to reduce the world's population to below seven billion.
They kill off the weak, the people who aren't strong enough to live on their own.
Eventually, after a few conflicts she has to face along with her best friend, Paige Reenez, the day comes when Morgan has to prove that she is worthy of life. Will she pass the test, or will she suffer a horrible fate?
