This is the first three chapters from the fifth book in the eight-book series. The two Final Gate books occur after the Scout Report three, and are followed by the Lost Oracle three (not yet published).

This book is slated to be self-published in a few days.

The general plot is described in the Preface (which was somewhat hijacked, by the way), and the Introduction. In a nutshell, it turns out that Universes are the dead carcasses of heavenly beings that were cast out of some sort of heaven. Life as we know it? Part of the decay process--bacteria growing on a corpse that yet contains a bit of usable energy.

What to do about a multitude of dead Universes? Wheels are in motion.

Mana is the life force that exists in everything. Mana gives you conscious thought, unconscious thought, and is the source of all feelings and life. Mana levels in humans though are moderate and usually cannot be harnessed past the normal capabilities of a human body. When the grandfather he never met suddenly died, Shuei felt nothing but indifference. The feeling does not change when a lawyer suddenly shows up at his house with his grandfather's will. But as his grandfather's only surviving heir, Shuei had inherited a large house in Kyoto that his grandfather was the landlord and caretaker of. After being pressured by his mother, Shuei packs up and leaves Tokyo to move to Kyoto and to see the house he inherited...and the tenants who lived there. Little does he realize that the house is no ordinary house, and the tenants are no ordinary tenants. For the house is in fact a Gateway; a connection to a spiritual realm called Seirei-Kai, and the "landlord" of the house serves as the Gatekeeper to protect the Gateway. The tenants of the house are a race of people from Seirei-Kai called the Seishin. They are human in appearance but the Mana inside their bodies is one thousand times stronger than that in a human body. They are powerful and have longevity...but they are also a dying race. For all Seishin that have been born in the last eight hundred years have been male. With no women to grow their population, the Seishin have needed to take drastic and creative measures to have more children and to save their race. Measures that are not entirely working, as they continue to only have male offspring. Shuei doesn't want to be the Gatekeeper. He doesn't want to care about these people with whom his grandfather cared more for than his own family. Despite this he still finds himself drawn into the world and culture of the Seishin of Seirei-Kai...and all the drama that comes with it. The is the first book in a new series called Estrangement Syndrome. - Word Count: 69-70,000

An alien planet resembling Earth is hidden in Orion, 40 light years away from the Solar System. The planet Merion unknown to mankind is home to aliens who developed cutting-edge civilization. Aliens on the planet have has long explored our Solar System and the human world. In the early days, planet people visited Earth themselves, but now they are exploring the Solar System by sending out humanoids, the Grays. Buddhists and Hindus believe in spiritual immortality and reincarnation. In fact, not a few people in the world remember their past lives. They might have lived on Earth in their past lives or another planet. And there are people who have testified about their out-of-body or near-death experience. They are witnessing the fact that the human body and soul exist separately. When a human dies, the body becomes a part of nature, but the soul seems to enter the non-material spiritual world and wait for reincarnation. The main character of this novel was an ordinary young man, but his soul was kidnapped by Grays. He turned into a Gray alien and was sent to the planet Merion, where he lived for more than 50 years. Surprisingly, he reincarnates as a human being, remembering everything. This novel tells the story of his life on Earth, the story of his life on the planet Merion after the abduction of his soul, and the story of living again on Earth after being reincarnated as a human being. The novel is composed of two volumes with twelve parts. Perhaps it will give interest and empathy to readers interested in souls and reincarnations, UFOs and alien planets, space and astronomy, and the future human world. The first volume, which consists of six parts, 45 sections, describes how the main character lived on Earth, as well as how his soul demonstrated its performance on the planet Merion after being kidnapped. And in the second volume, the main character will be reincarnated as a human being and live in the 22nd century.

Follow Estavir, an analogue for my psyche as he goes on a metaphorical journey, a climb up Mt.Sensan-Ghi. This book and its running narrative as well as other short stories were created as a way for me to work through my burnout. This is my first published work of fiction. It was conceptualised during a burnout I experienced back in 2017. With support from family, friends and a professional with whom to talk, I tried working through the burnout over the period of a year. At each stage of my journey I created a story to help me process. It's bizarre, a bit dark slightly existential and close to my heart. Please enjoy.
