Just like every other Chrimbo, I was forsaken unless you call that one dreadful phone call from my mother asking me to come home as a formality. +++ I live a simple independent life, where I'm the CFO of Prientice Empire, have a few amazing friends and live in a luxurious apartment. I've everything I want except for my parents love. As the CFO of the most prominent business, I spend most of my time with my boss, who doesn't know anything but work, yet I've a hots for him since the day I first saw him. And spending so much time with him doesn't help with my feelings. No matter how ignorant or rude he will become, his handsome face, the velvet voice and Greek god like body won't let me think a sour thing about him. Sometimes I even think that I'm in love with him... Anyways, back to my boring and lonely Christmas. Just like every other year, I spend my holidays in my apartment looking down at the city that never sleeps while sipping coffee or hot chocolate with marshmallows. Just like every other year my mother does tells me to come home, but she doesn't insist when I deny. I just give her what she wants and that is to leave her and her family alone, which doesn't count me. This year, I did something I never had the guts for. I, Aurora Minnette made a deal with The Christian Prientice for this Christmastide. It was almost like he made a deal with the devil but the with the female version, that is me.Complete

Finding Christmas
(Completed) Earlier this year, a pandemic crippled the world... December 1 The earthquake hit. December 3 The waters came and the flood overpowered us. My younger brother and sister cry for our parents on the other side of the world. The only consolation I have is "Christmas is coming." My younger sister asked me how we could celebrate Christmas with nothing. I had no answer except, "We'll find a way." *** 2020 brought many unexpected things. The unexpected bad and the unexpected good. With the year coming to a close, I want to dedicate this story to the front-liners, to those living away from family, to the Filipinos affected by the recent typhoons and flood, and to my grandparents who have survived through so much and thrived through it all. Christmas time is the time to be reminded of HOPE, the hope that comes in Jesus' promised birth and life to live, PEACE, the peace that comes from the Prince of Peace alone, JOY, the joy that comes from a fresh start, a new beginning and the birth of a baby (Luke 2:5-7) and LOVE, the love that sent a King down on earth to be a baby so that He could experience life before He'd give His life for us so that we could live with Him (John 3:16) (Not edited.
