"I'm sorry for saying what I said but I'm not apologizing for my feelings. When you meet the one, you know. If you don't feel the same then that's okay but—" Before I could finish she pressed her lips against mine. Savoring the moment, I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer to me. Her hands gripped my curls as our lips moved in sync. Smiling through the kiss, I shut my eyes and the familiar sensation rushed through me. When our lips parted we just stared at each other, no words. "I love you too." She whispered and smiled sheepishly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I believe in meeting the one and Mr Styles, you are the one."

"I know exactly what you like." I swallowed, my throat dry despite the whiskey. "And what does that have to do with your secret?" His lips curved, the faintest hint of a smirk. "Because I think you want someone who can push back." The heat in my stomach curled tighter, and I hated that too. Hated that he was reading me too easily, hated that I couldn't tell if he was just playing or if he really understood. "That's not much of a secret," I said smoothly, keeping my voice even. "Anyone could guess that." "Maybe," Harry mused, his fingers toying with the rim of his glass. "But I don't think just anyone could keep up with you." I narrowed my eyes, my body betraying me with the way it leaned just slightly closer. "And you think you can?" He didn't answer right away. He just held my gaze, letting the anticipation stretch, letting the weight of it settle between us. Then, finally, his smirk deepened. "I guess that depends," he murmured, his voice dropping to something dark. "Are you gonna let me find out?" // August Paisley was born into bloodshed. As the daughter of Brooklyn's most ruthless mafia leader, she's spent her life sharpening her edges, knowing that love is a liability and trust is a death sentence. With enemies circling and war on the horizon, she has no time for distractions-especially not the kind that comes in the form of sharp-tongued, brooding, Harry Styles. Harry is everything she should hate. The son of her family's greatest enemy. A man raised on the promise of destruction. Their worlds are built on blood feuds and old grudges, and there's no future where the two of them walk away unscathed. But when their paths collide, what starts as a battle of wit and fire turns into something else-something intoxicating, something inevitable. Falling for him is a mistake that cost her everything. Her life. But in a war where nothing is certain, letting him go might be the most dangerous thing of all.

With new friendships and a new life Anna does her best to stay clear of the drama that suddenly seems to follow her. Including the tall British guy covered in tattoos with piercing green eyes and the worlds most intoxicating smirk. Who she just can't seem to get rid of. (BOOK ONE - LOST SERIES) "You like old shit huh?" A deep voice startles me, making me flinch slightly at the closeness of it. The voice came from behind me and I recognize it immediately. My body is suddenly frozen in place as I try to figure out if it's acceptable for me to ignore him till he goes away. I can smell his cologne and feel him standing far too close behind me looking over my shoulder at the cameras in the case in front of me. I swear this guy doesn't understand personal space. "Actually, I just like cameras," I correct him with a sassy tone staring up at him. He doesn't break our steady eye contact but what surprises me is neither do I. It's like I can't look away. [COMPLETED] "I see you've become brave" He chuckles, his eyes dark. "I didn't have a choice," I say without a hint of emotion in my voice. His eyes stay still at me when after a certain point I look away for a moment as the situation was getting too intense. Our silent breathing filled the room as he stood there holding me to the door, his fingers digging deep in my skin. Hard but not enough to hurt. "You have to tell me what goes on in your mind when it comes to me. Why do you keep hurting me?" I look him in the eyes, questioning. He leans in making me doubt what he intended to do as I turn my head looking to my left. His forehead softly touches my temple and rests against it. For some reason, it calmed me down. I stand there not moving a bone, too scared perhaps. Slowly, he takes a few strands of hair tucking it behind my ear. I hear him take a deep breath, and slowly exhale through his mouth parting his lips. His warm breath made my skin moist as he slowly he leans further down to my ear and he touches it softly with his lips sending shivers down my body. "Trust me, you don't wanna know what goes on in my mind when it comes to you." //Grace Evans is the childhood friend of Harry Styles, a member of the world-famous band 'Affinity'.
