Wizards and Warlocks: Adventure IV

On a normal day in Swordsport, Alina, teen elf and vigilante adventurer receives an unexpected call from the mayer. He meets her at a bar and persuades her to take on a huge undertaking. To right the wrongs being done in Slumsherry Island, the section of the city right off the coast. Alina gets a sense of foreboding after the assignment but continues as usual. However, between the appearance of a too willing to help faery and the excess firepower on the island, Alina realizes that much more is going on than she once thought. She cannot abandon her quest, now that the whole city of Swordsport now hangs in the balance.

Alina and Siofra made their way down the central road of Swordsport. A few other adventurers strolled through the back alleys, but not a single one was parading down the center, longsword on their back, scowl on face, necromancy charm on their neck, leading a small child. Needless to say, they got strange looks from the townspeople.

A crossbow bolt split the air, thunking into a nearby doorframe. Alina was mildly startled, but mostly curious. This had to be a very bad part of town for every pedestrian to be considered a threat. The little fey beside her had an almost comical startled expression.

Alina smirked. "Well, do you want to punch some gangsters or not?"
