Fiendfyre was said to be fire that was cursed by Dark Magic and it just so happened that Deveena Fawley was the cursed being that was able to wield it freely. Born as a Pyronite, Deveena can produce deadly flames from the tips of her fingers - a powerful defense mechanism when used appropriately.
Unfortunately, in her case, Deveena lacks control and fire with freedom is far more deadly than any spell.
After the loss of her mother in a fatal attack, Deveena finds herself feeling alone and ostracized for her ability that her mother had once called a gift. With nowhere else to go, she is forced to move in with her estranged father, which brings her journey across the waters to England.
Little did she know, it was only the beginning.
Even though she's a long way from home, Deveena finds that the attacks persist and are becoming more and more frequent. Left with next to no choice, many are forced to flee the region, and Deveena, along with her companions, find themselves in the unfamiliar territory of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
However, it seems Deveena cannot hide from the past, and she cannot hide what she truly is, leaving her to solve this mystery once and for all.
Only, she may not like the answers she finds.
The choice of kill or be killed, wasn't really a choice at all.
