Sapphire

"Please." He took both of my hands in his hands and plead. "Let me protect you."

I stayed quiet and closed my eyes, letting tears fall down my face. I start sobbing and face away from him.

One of his hands cup my face and he gently turns me to face him again.

He frowns when he sees my face.

He rubs my tears away and I look at his finger that has smudged concealer on it.

I gasp between my sobs and cover my face.

"Sapphire. Please let me help you."

"I..."

I knew my concealer washed off and my bruises and cuts were obvious, but he didn't look at me differently. He stared into my eyes instead and gave me a sympathetic look.

"Please, Sapphire."

"Logan, I..." my eyes widen when I see the sky slowly turning darker. "I need to go."
