Clara Fields has grown up surrounded by palaeozoology, with her father working very closely alongside Professor Nick Cutter and his wife, Helen. But then Helen disappears without a trace, and everyone's lives go awry.
Eight years later, and Clara helps discover these strange things called anomalies with Nick, his lab technician Stephen Hart, and a nerdy student of his called Connor Temple.
Yet these anomalies are dangerous: some lead to the past, and others the future. Will Clara explore things beyond her wildest dreams? Or will she be sucked into the danger that comes with messing with time?
