THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. Either he looks at you, or you look at him, or you both exchange looks. Either way, his senses will pick you up, and you can't hide. It'll be too late. The amazing cover is by @-blackrogue. That was actually the clear distinction between her and her twin brother, Scott McCall. Not that Scott didn't go on his fair share of risky trips, but that was mostly his best friend dragging him to do that. Stella knew Scott sought adventure, but he was too much of a chicken. But, in all fairness, his chicken-ness did help her out more times than she could count. The one thing she could not understand, though, is how did his chicken motor not go off when his best friend, Stiles Stilinski, came to their house with news of half a body found in the woods. In the end, they all should have listened to Stella about not going. Because that little midnight trip in the woods to fulfil their morbid interest ended up with Scott getting bit, and not just by any animal, no. By a werewolf. I've been locked in this mysterious mansion for ten years. Cleaning and following the rules of a Lord whose face I've never seen. Rule 1: Don't walk the halls at night Rule 2: Never leave the property Rule 3: Don't ask about the Lord of the estate Once you leave the mansion, you can't come back. My mother tells me I should be thankful because only crime and death remain outside the gates after the war. But after ten years of cleaning the same halls and reading the same books, after ten years of unanswered questions, my curiosity got the best of me. I snuck out of the mansion and went to the nearby town: a crime that could get me banished.
