Before Voltron became something that was spread across the universe to different planets. Something was off about Zarkon and how his eyes didn't have the same look to them anymore. With many of the galra it had became unsettling for them to see what was going on and to say what was going on with Zarkon he was never usually like what he was before but many of his closest allies began to work with him to destroy the other planets and to concur the universe.   

The only thing that could stop Zarkon and his fleet we needed one thing Voltron as the five lions were separated along time ago by King Alfor. As this weapon was to save the universe.All Rights Reserved

Shiro escaped from the galra's clutches because of a blue eyed water and ice mage, he meets allura and coran who took him in as an exchange Shiro must fight alongside allura as a paladin Keith was orphaned at a young age until he met shiro who took care of him, but years ago Shiro was taken by the galra and Keith made it his goal to train hard and rescue Shiro, he met allura who helped Shiro and now Keith was reunited with Shiro and joined allura as her red paladin Pidge was in a state of depression when allura first saw her, her brother and father was taken by the galra and studied to rescue her family and joined allura as her green paladin. she's a genius and is able to manipulate non-living objects. Hunk wanted to become a great cook, but because of the galra's reign his dream was crushed. His family is captured by the galra and he lives with his uncle and was found by allura for his mastery in mechanics and culinary. Allura Is a princess before zarkon attacked and took over her kingdom, for 1 year she's been storing her magic to defeat zarkon and haggar in one attack, she gathered four paladins and only needs the blue paladin, once she has found all 5 paladins, she and the five paladins must search for the five lions of voltron. Coran is a master healer and has assisted allura on her mission to overthrow zarkon in order to once again reclaim her crown and rebuild the kingdom they once lost.

After barely fighting off a fleet of Galra ships, Voltron lands on the planet Toumia that is surrounded by three suns, humbly expecting thanks, gratitude, and food. Not necessarily in that order. However, as soon as they land on the ground, the leader of the Ibhe Htua, Pedagogue Tuaste, tells them that they did a good job, but there's a lot to learn before they even have a hope of defeating Zarkon and his evil empire. Grudgingly, they accept her offer to train them. However, a new threat to the universe arises soon after they land on Toumia, one that is completely unrelated to Zarkon and the Galra Empire. One of the many societies on the planet with purple grass has developed a way to help the universe, but the Voltron Team knows that this will do anything but help the universe, and that they must stop it at all costs. Together, the five Paladins make up Voltron, Defender of the Universe. And what do defenders of the universe do? They defend it. * * * The timeline for this fanfiction within seasons 1-2 of VLD are unknown, for reasons that will be clear by the end of this particular fanfiction. As such, the characters will know how to do certain things, and not know other things. Because of this, there will be spoilers for some things but not others, and seeing as this happens somewhere within the spacetime between the episodes of seasons 1 and 2. It's weird. Hang with me, it'll all make sense by chapter sixteen. Maybe fifteen. I haven't written that far out yet. And just as a forewarning: in this, I will be doing several play-on-word jokes that may seem offensive. THEY ARE NOT. So the spiral light at the center of the universe was shattered into 9 shards and the universe has been in chaos ever since. Because the spiral light shattered, the Crystal Core was formed, and the Galra have been invading peaceful planets to them more power for the empire, and all that stuff. So Crystal Bearers are sent out on missions, freeing captured planets, freeing prisoners, recruiting new Crystal Cadets, stopping space piracy and other junk like that. I don't want to spoil anything else, so you have to read the book to find out what happens!

It's been years since the universe had seen the great Paladins of Voltron in battle. Years since those paladins have seen the lions. The universe was saved, so the lions left. Until now. The paladins are older now, and each have their own families. Hunk and Shay decided to settle down, and had a son named Erik. He looked a lot like Hunk, but was very Bulmeran. Shiro met an alien named Hel while on a special mission. The two fell in love and had a baby boy named Kade. Kade had black messy hair, and dark skin like Hel. Pidge didn't end up having any kids, but Matt on the other hand had a daughter named Evelyn. Evelyn was a lot like the siblings, with the same Gunderson charm. Lance settled down with Allura, and had a daughter named Isla. Isla looked very much like Allura, but with Lances brown hair and a strange condition with her skin tone. She ended up with a very light skin tone, due to a strange Altean occurrence. When no Altean father is present, the child takes the skin tone of the closest Altean male. Since that was Coran, Isla ended up with lighter skin, but Lance and Allura had no problems with it. Some time after Allura had passed away, Lance and Keith realized they had feelings for each other. They soon adopted a daughter named Abbey. Abbey had been through a lot regarding families, so she wasn't fond of siblings. Soon enough though, her and Isla became great friends. Even though Pidge had no children, all the kids thought of her as the cool aunt. They were all friends, and hung out quite often. This is the story of the Voltron Descendants. (This is a story me and my friends are writing. The new characters are OC's of ours, and we wanted to do something with them. In this universe, Allura made it past the final battle, but passed away when Isla was young. All of the kids are fairly smart since Pidge educated them, but a few are more impulsive than others.)
