Upon hearing someone enter, I turned, seeing a tall toned man. As I glanced at him, his eyes were pitch black, quickly I turned my body back around. I must be seeing things. I slowly looked over my shoulder, brown irises met mine, he smiled. I nodded back, before returning to my book. I've seen him before, that beautiful white smile, those alluring lips, his perfect hair and that killer jawline. It all seems like a faraway dream, like he was apart of my past life...like a faded memory.

Humans and Demons were never meant to coexist. It is impossible for either to live peacefully with one another... considering the mere fact that Demons want nothing more than to destroy the living. It is their duty to rid the world of what their definition of evil is. The world is a terrible and disgusting place, and taking Human life one by one will - in their twisted minds - purify the world one death at a time. Max Rivers is that particular Human with a majorly screwed up life... from medicine abuse to simply giving up on life altogether. Jeff has been one of those tortured and emotionless Demons to roam the world as he so pleases, taking life whenever he crossed paths with a Human. Neither one of them were meant to meet... and they sure as hell were never meant to coexist. Jeff takes life to suppress his own evil past... and Max wants her life to be taken from her in order to put an end to her horrible present and future. But when two completely different worlds begin to collide, and when each one slowly becomes slightly interested in the other for unexplainable and confusing reasons, both of them seem to coexist in nothing more than an utter nightmare. "I am one of them, baby and I will protect you with my life!" Was the sentence that made me fall down my knees and believe him, give him all I could give but it wasn't easy. I didn't choose this life. I don't want it but when I saw him I just thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be the one who'd take all the pain of my past away with a small kiss of his kissable lips. At least that was what I expected. Perhaps, the devil that pushed me in hell, got sick of me enjoying it there and he sent me someone that looks so angelic when he smiles to make me feel like I'm in heaven. But sadly, as soon as I leaned in to kiss his lips, I realized that just looking in his eyes, I'd feel in heaven but looking around and seeing all those demons, my demons, smirking at me, knowing they won because I let him in but he was just one of them when I thought he was different. At the end of the day, I was just a maid in his father's house but I didn't look at it that way when I fell for him and that was how I lost myself. -Read to know how she lost herself, who is the angle and the devil, how did her demons won when she was trying so hard to run away from them.
