"We are all searching for someone who's demons play well with ours." 

Upon hearing someone enter, I turned, seeing a tall toned man. As I glanced at him, his eyes were pitch black, quickly I turned my body back around. I must be seeing things. I slowly looked over my shoulder, brown irises met mine, he smiled. I nodded back, before returning to my book. I've seen him before, that beautiful white smile, those alluring lips, his perfect hair and that killer jawline. It all seems like a faraway dream, like he was apart of my past life...like a faded memory.

"I am one of them, baby and I will protect you with my life!" Was the sentence that made me fall down my knees and believe him, give him all I could give but it wasn't easy. I didn't choose this life. I don't want it but when I saw him I just thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be the one who'd take all the pain of my past away with a small kiss of his kissable lips. At least that was what I expected. Perhaps, the devil that pushed me in hell, got sick of me enjoying it there and he sent me someone that looks so angelic when he smiles to make me feel like I'm in heaven. But sadly, as soon as I leaned in to kiss his lips, I realized that just looking in his eyes, I'd feel in heaven but looking around and seeing all those demons, my demons, smirking at me, knowing they won because I let him in but he was just one of them when I thought he was different. "What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.

He pulled back to look at her frightened face. "Worry not, I will let you watch this man you love so much suffer and die before I end you."

He quizzes, stepping a few inches my way into the light. "With a deal Azazel, or more specifically, a pact," I tell using all my energy to stop my feet from moving backward. "That is very difficult Xander, you sealed your vow with a drop of blood," he argues, the moonlight falling more on his face as he tilts his head upwards. "And I'm here to make and seal another," I converse awaiting a reply. "No, you got what you wanted, to be rich, famous, and loved, what else do you desire?" He asks, his supernatural blue eyes having a scary glint to them. "My soul," I repeat. "Plus I know you love making deals Azazel, no matter how you try to hide it, I see the excitement and mischief you try to conceal." "Same way I see the little fear of rejection bubbling within you, I detect it in your eyes, I hear it in your heartbeat, and the blood pumping through your veins," he sneers in response, squaring his wide shoulders to come off as intimidating. "Hence we understand each other well, we know you've got more to win than lose, and I've got more to lose than win," I confess. "You are right," he lets out in a husky tone, his red lips curving into a hint of a smile. "So what do you say demon, you in?" I invite, my eyebrow raised "I am," he gleams. "What's this pact about?"
