The world has gone hectic. It's a dangerous place that Ranae and her best friend Mason are trying to survive in. These two are constantly aware of their surroundings, always on the lookout. They're afraid but they can't give up. Ranae and Mason are all alone after her seeing their families being killed right before their eyes. They have each other and no one else, but it's hard to survive in a world where even Ranae doesn't understand: Who, what, how, where, and most importantly: Why? They're living in a nightmare that they can't wake up from.

It's been taking the lives of those injected, and the council just tells the world that the poor delinquent just committed suicide. And now Reyanna, the newest guest, and Jake's mate arrives. His dad goes behind his back and injects her too, but something is different. It works. And no one knows why.
