Fayden was born to a poor elven family in Tervinter. He was born with emerald green eyes and red hair. From a young age he showed an aptitude for magic. One day while going through the alienage a noble saw him, and upon seeing his magical capabilities took him in and made him a slave/apprentice. Fayden was taught 2 specific schools of magic elemental specifically ice, along with the forbidden school of blood magic.
During his training his master had his house symbol, a howling wolf, tattooed over Fayden's left eye. Once he became skilled enough to wield both ice magic and blood magic his teacher made Fayden his personal body guard. Although he was never seen as a body guard Fayden did everything to protect his master, who slowly became his father figure to him, from the shadows never letting anyone see what he did.
But unfortunately Fayden wasn't strong enough to protect his master from an assassination attempt as he cradled his master, he was given his final lesson. "Never use blood magic out of rage or sadness. Once those feelings consume you you'll lose control and let the magic take over killing you slowly in the process." Although Fayden heeded his master's words he sought revenge on the house that had hired the assassin. Fayden searched until he finally found the assassin, who killed his master, murdering him in cold blood. Fayden then found the orders that had been given to murder his master. He hunted down the family, and murdered them by freezing their home with everyone still in it. Now Fayden wanders Tervinter hoping to find a way to atone for his past, and save a mysterious girl from the powers she can't yet control.

These are my options. Kill him, or agree to be his. I make my own choice. I can not take my freedom away. I can not be the mate he wants, but I can not kill him. With a deep breath, I turn the knife on myself.
