Izuku Midoriya had always dreamed of becoming a hero, and since his childhood, that viewpoint hadn't changed. Despite being quirkless, he kept his head up high, and never stood down from what he believed was right. Even after his bullies, and even his own mother doubted him, he continued to chase after his dream. After meeting his childhood idle All Might, his dream finally became attainable. From the day he received One for All, he worked his absolute hardest to never let anyone down, including All Might himself.  While never admitting it, All Might was like the father Izuku never had. He'd do anything to try and help All Might persevere in the end. Even after the battle with All For One, Izuku tried his hardest to keep All Might's hopes high.

Ever since Izuku Midoriya joined U.A. High School and settled in, he knew that the League of Villains were after him and his quirk: One For All. However, when the time comes when Bakugo is the target and is only seconds away from being captured, Midoriya throws himself in the chaos and ends up saving Bakugo, only at the cost of his own safety as he is captured instead. Midoriya is brought back to the League of Villains' hideout and with him there, Shigaraki plans on changing the young boy's mindset and plans to use force against him. When Midoriya isn't able to escape for three years and no one can seem to find him, he begins to lose hope and his wounds only bleed more. Even when he goes back in time with the help of a pro hero's quirk, he is diagnosed with depression and struggles to go on through life. He doesn't feel like himself. He needs someone. He needs someone so badly. But what if there isn't anybody to help Midoriya? How will Midoriya cope when someone close to him dies right in his arms? Warning! This story will contain depression, suicide talk, torture (not explained explicitly), violence, and a whole lot of angst! Also, this story won't contain any ships. Little did he know that the hero valued his little anonymous friend and decided to help him out to the max he could. He didn't know what to do. His mother dead and his source of stability gone, he looses his will to anything but keep fighting. Most people would turn to villainy after this, always searching with vengeance and an anger that could never be tamed. But Izuku isn't most people. He couldn't bring himself to hurt people so he decided he'd be a hero, just not by title. His heart has always longed to save those in need, after all. Someone stopped him and reached their hand out and promised him a better world. of course that's exactly what he did. Feeling broken after his incident with Bakugo he left him a final gift, as a sorry gift. And that was the last thing Bakugo ever had to remember him by, and boy did he go to the extreme to try and find him

He asks himself, if he could truly be a villain, even thought he always wanted to be a hero? It started much earlier than that, when Hisashi Midoriya walked out on Inko, taking with him their four and a half year old son. All For One will devote a lot of time to investments he considers worthwhile. His son is one such investment. "Young man," All Might said again. He was trying to sound gentle. "We can fix this." Izuku stared at him. And then he laughed. It was a bitter, hollow laugh but as he laughed he let his hair fade to white and turned his eyes gold. The widening of All Might's eyes was somewhat carthic but wasn't going to be enough. "No, we can't," Izuku told him before bracing. All For One let his son go to make his own choices, giving him a new identity, and new opportunities. He's taught Izuku well but needs to know that his son will come to him because it is his choice. Izuku is eager to see the world, and perception creates reality. What will Izuku see? A system that should be torn down and burned, or a system that is trying to be better than it is? Which side will he choose? Here, he is not All Might's chosen successor, but All For One's and no matter what he chooses, he will be a force to be reckoned with. Follows Izuku through into high school and canon time and all the fun that entails.
