I know it's stupid of me to come nearer. But an uncertain force-like field brings me to the devil. Nakaharap na kami sa isa't-isa. Bigla na lamang akong namanhid na tila di ko na nararamdaman ang lamig. He lifted his hands and it reached my left cheek. Saglit akong napapikit. Pakiramdam ko ay nanindig ang mga balahibo ko sa batok. All I can feel is his gentle touch as he caresses it. "Will you release me? I might die anytime soon." he whispered. Napahawak ako sa kamay niyang nasa pisngi ko. He'll die? The side of his lips arched. Something flickered on his eyes. I believe their color changed! Hindi ko lang nahuli. I was still in awe when he held my hand tightly as he speaks, "But maybe one bite. . . will suffice." He wasn't even asking for permission. He was suggesting it to himself.
