In this world, dogs are the humans of the earth.

Alexander finally gets to live the life he's always wanted, he gets to go to school and he doesn't have to evade his father any longer. His mother had wanted him to come here for an education before she died, and that's exactly what he planned on doing. Back home, his father left him after years of abuse, his mother died from cancer, he was separated from his brother during the hurricane, and his cousin committed suicide.
