So this is the first story I've written, so please go easy on me with criticisms because I'm kind of terrified about this. I'm probably going to end up changing the title at some point when I'm certain of how the story is going to go. And I'm awful at descriptions, but here goes xD Amy discovered that she had fiery powers at the age of 20, when she was in her first life threatening situation. Since then, she has been using them to fight crime in her city as the Ember. Then, a man saves her life, and she discovers that she isn't the only one struggling with powers. When somebody from her dark past returns to her life, Amy must learn to trust herself and face her fears. Trigger Warning! This story features flashbacks of a past abusive relationship, so if that's something that you're not comfortable with, please don't read! And I've never been in an abusive relationship before, so if I describe something wrong or say something that's offensive to survivors in any way, please let me know and I'll try to fix it!Complete
I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. DISCLAIMER!!!!!! This book is probably very bad! Who am I kidding? there's no probably, it's very bad. There are probably some things that don't make sense or don't add up, and the writing in the first chapters (or all) is bad. I know I have improved but this was just a warning, so I don't get cussed out in the comments. Lol, jk. I wrote this when I was younger (I hated editing) so there are a lot of mistakes with capitalizing, punctuation, sentence structure etc. Read at your own risk. You were warned. ************ Excerpt. The pounding of my head could be heard from a mile away. I closed my eyes tightly and tried not to focus on the pain. I was becoming irritated by both the headache and the stupid chains. I opened my eyes and looked over at my sister, she was sleeping with her head hanging low. I looked away from her and pulled on the chains, ignoring the migraine I'm pretty sure I have. This is just pure cruelty, I really prefered staying in the room. I looked around the room, for what felt like the millionth time within this hour. I took a deep and long breath before I just let my hands hang to the sides of my head in the chains. My breathing slowed and I closed my eyes. So this is a story I wrote a while ago for National Novel Writing Month... It's completely original and I had had hopes to publish a few hardcover copies, but I have long since moved on from the idea and begun to work on other things. I got to Dad's work placed and found him in his office.1 year into this shit show world me and him found a group of people,Warren,Garnet,Addy, and mack.We have travel together ever since. I am the youngest out of the group but I can kick ass, I am 5,4 so a pretty normal height. One day our lifes changed when we were at camp blue sky and some people showed up. One being claimed as a "savior of humanity". Camp blue sky got over run but luckly warren,garnet,mack and addy got out in time. We went to the destination we were told to go and that is where I meet a sniper boy who saved my dad's life. We added him to our jorney and who know i might have developed a couple of feeling for him...... She raised an eyebrow. "Just look at the guy, doesn't he just scream 'I won't have sex with you and immediately ditch you unless you have dubble D's and the IQ of a goldfish?'"
