When The Bud Blooms - sequel to Our Blooming Youth (journey to the Palace)
About eight months ago, I met two characters who spoke to me. Their relationship was based on trust, friendship and an incredible attraction to each other that went beyond the physical, and I could see how they would evolve just because of that foundation years down the line. This story carries forward the story of Yi Hwan and Min Jay Yi from the Korean TV series "Our Blooming Youth". I had severe withdrawal symptoms once the series ended. I wanted to keep travelling with them. I wanted to know how they developed. I was eager to uncover the transformation from uncertainty ('maybe') to astonishment ('OMG! It's real!') and the ensuing chaos of "WTF do I do now?" What did the path forward look like for Min Jay Yi and Yi Hwan, as they made their personal journey through their one year of separation? I felt this was a story that was needed to be told. It was as important to the growth of their relationship as a couple as it was when they bonded over common goals and promised to always be at each other's side. So here is Yi Hwan and Min Jay Yi's journey from the day of the battle to their life in the Palace. (Disclaimer: The scriptwriters clearly defined the characters, and I borrowed them. I'll be writing this book based on the popular Korean Drama, 'The Heirs'. *Update* This book was originally meant for the 30 Days Writing challenge in 2016 but clearly I didn't do it very well, and slow updates are my thing now. So please be patient as I'll be back in just a few weeks to update again! The #30DaysWritingChallenge is where writers take the pledge to write a book of at least 10,000 words over the next 30 days (for the month of december). It is some kind of a irony since I have books concerning '30 Days' and I've recently posted an alternate ending for the sequel, do read it if you have the time. ;) The book/story will be based on TV shows/Movies/etc you enjoyed but wished the ending was different in one way or another, thus, this is my version of the ending for 'The Heirs'. There'll be a more detailed introduction for this book in the first part, and the words in that part shall not be counted to fulfill my pledge of 10,000 words.
