After they met as kids, they became best friends, and then they became lovers. However, Bo's parents didn't approve of the idea of a big-time, serious-about-school-and-work, New Yorker dating a small-town, not-so-serious girl from Montana. After bribing Bo to break up with Rosabelle Sage, the two friends part ways, thinking they'll never see each other again. Bo graduates college and becomes a writer, exploring different places and interviewing people to keep the story lively and more interesting. He moves to live with his grandparents and help them keep up with the farm and finds out about a sanctuary for wild animals just outside of town. Wanting to write something new, he visits the sanctuary, hoping to speak with the owner only to find out that its Rosabelle Sage. She has become more of a wordly girl, traveling as much as she could. She hadn't finished college, but she had traveled to every country from the United States to Japan, down to Antarctica, and north to Russia. Through her travels, she stumbled into some trouble and was now hiding from the man that wanted her dead for knowing too much. The problem is, she's not sure what information she knows that he doesn't want anybody to know. That ignorance just might be the death of her.
Chichi, her mom and her younger brother relocated to the US to be with her dad when she was fourteen. It was not easy for her to blend in and get used to the lifestyle of the people there but she did and three years and few months later, she is in her senior year, have lovely friends, an alright social life and yeah, a crush or maybe, her first love. She finds herself hooked on this one boy. She wonders what it was that makes her so attracted and hooked on him. Was it because he is in the soccer team or that he was tall and has a pretty smile which shows his perfect white teeth? She could describe him as a jerk because he's indirectly or even directly toying with her emotions. It could only go both ways, will he ever reciprocate the feelings? Will she ever move on and let go?.
