After a town wide loss traumatized the small town of White Willow, the Adams family, who are currently the richest family in the town, started to isolate themselves and their kids. Petra Victoria Adams, the youngest child, suffered the most. She was 3 at the time of trauma, and since then, her mother forbid her to leave the house, or do anything outside unsupervised. When Petra started kindergarten at the age of 4, her first friend - Rachel Sweeney - resembled her older sister, and even shared the same first name as her. When Petra's mom found out about this, Petra got sent back to therapy and her mother started to slip back into her old habits.
