Nothing could possibly pain Azure Farfalla more than the idea that she is being forced to marry someone who is not only thirteen years older than her while she is still a minor, but who also almost killed her best friend.
Every since they were little, The Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood would always play with each other in the woods. They were best friends. So what happened? The Story Tellers worked their magic and forced the newest generation of characters to perform age-old fairy tales. Little Red was forced to watch as a horrible beast destroyed her friendship and nearly her best friend, too.
Five years after that horrible day, Azure is living a normal high school student's life: studying for exams, complaining about the cafeteria food, preparing for a wedding she had no say in, etc. But she longs for the day when she can be free of the nightmare she is living. The day she gets her happy ending: when she can finally have her best friend back.
But life isn't a fairy tale.
