Zettrikk and Renak have been fighting for years. They are complete opposites. Zettrikk-the war-planted grimy country. Renak-The high-tech leading country. Both have fought each other many times, followed by many treaties. The issue is, as always, who will disobey a treaty term first. This time, Renak does.
War is declared, and the children of two leaders, named Elasia and Cephus, are swept into a tornado of feuds, battles, and animosity. When Elasia leaves her home country of Renak to help her father hide and spy in Zettrikk, her life meets with Cephus'. When Cephus finds a friend, he learns a terrible secret about them. When both learn a deadly fact about their family past, their relationship is never the same.
Elasia has always wanted to be someone other than her father. Cephus has always wanted to prove himself. But to who? When it comes down to pride or friendship, Elasia and Cephus will change their countries' histories, once, and for all.

All twelve-year-old Reid Breton wants is to fit in at the exclusive school for boys where he was abandoned as a baby. Though he is excited to learn archery and swordsmanship with Oliver, the prospect of actually fighting the darthags paralyzes Reid, not least of all because he isn't very good at soldiery. He gets sick in the practice yard, and his comrades treat him as a separate species, fearing the otherworldly diseases he might be carrying. Oliver is the only one who believes in Reid's abilities. But when Oliver is captured by the darthags, Reid has to find the guts to face battle, or risk losing his only brother, and his only friend, forever. THE BRETON BOYS is an upper middle grade fantasy.
