Earth, 2055.
In a world still without the knowledge of extraterrestrial life, Overseeing Base B, more commonly known as the Chester Institute of Space Research, holds the only evidence of the existence of aliens. The proof? The hundreds of aliens who are employed there, and the other Overseeing Bases situated on nearby planets.
When Erin Ipswich, granddaughter of one of the Leaders at Base B, arrives to stay with her grandfather, the knowledge of aliens is inadvertently revealed to her. So, she does what any curious teenager would do - she gets herself a job there.
But something dark is happening in the Base. A respected member of the Base, and alien, is killed in suspicious circumstances, and after that the bodies keep piling up. No one knows who will be next. Those who do not know the killer's identity are frightened; those who suspect it are even more so. And with the threat of an asteroid about to crash into one of the nearby planets, danger appears around every single turn.

So, I've been writing various drafts of this novel for five years, and I have been working on this particular draft ('version four') since April 2016. In October 2017, soon after completing parts one and two of three, I ceased proper work on it. Even though I have spent so long on it, and still have an appreciation for the plot and characters, I don't really like it all that much. It certainly will never be published, as I once dreamed it would be. But 53,000 words is a lot to waste, so I have decided to upload it here. If it gets lots of reviews, I may even continue writing it properly. I'll probably upload a chapter a week. I have twenty-one finished ones. Please enjoy!
