𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐖𝐘𝐍 wears pain like a second skin. It's all she's ever known, etched into her bones, buried beneath forced smiles and hollow laughter. A walking contradiction: all sin and sorrow, smoke and shadows. Once passionate, once burning bright, now nothing but ash and ruin. She pretends well, too well, but behind the sharp tongue and unbothered eyes lies a girl screaming to be seen, yet terrified someone actually might. 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐍 was born into a world already at war with him. Pain wasn't just a chapter in his life, it was the whole book. Raised in shadows, fed by poison, his lungs filled with smoke and silence. "Are you happy?" The question comes out of nowhere and throws me off guard... Because 3 months ago, before he attended that party, I would have said yes I'm happy... But right now, I'm not sure. "What do you mean?" "It's a simple question June... Are you happy?" "Y-yes." "Let me rephrase... Are you happily married?" "Why are you asking me all these questions?... I've given you the answers you needed, I don't..." "Shut the fuck up June!... It's a bloody simple question... Are. You. Happy?" he snaps. He's really mad right now and that makes me squirm in my seat. "Are you?" My voice comes out barely above a whisper, but enough for him to hear what I said... He stands and begins pacing, running his hands through his hair frustratedly and messing it up, his jaw locked, and he just continues to pace and that makes me uncomfortable... I stand, and he stops pacing and just stares at me, I try to look as confident as I can, but inside I'm nervous as hell and dying to know what he's thinking. "I'm not..." ... I didn't know what to do... so I did nothing. There I was, sprawled onto the ground. Just looking at the sky. Wishing... praying... pleading that it would lift me up and take me far away. The bitter air stung my skin like wasps, but still I laid there my legs bare and my body now trembling, did I care though? Would it be so bad for everything to just stop? ___________________________________________ At a young age Zara had entire life was stripped away from her, but she didn't give up she built a new one... only to have that one torn apart as well. It seems everywhere she goes there's trouble lurking around the corner. There's no escape, and no entrance, it only is. Not only is her mate not what she wanted but yet again a curve ball is thrown into the mix leaving Zara's life in jeopardy. What will happen to Zara will she over come this new problem? Will her life ever be normal? Will her mate change? Or better yet does she want him to? A/N: This is my first story I haven't plotted it I'm just writing and seeing where it gets me. Bliss. Delight. Contentment. Euphoria. Elation. Joy. Glee. Felicity. Jubilation. These are all words synonymous to the word happiness. But what is true happiness? Happiness is that feeling of butterflies fluttering around in your chest, trying to break out. Happiness is that invisible fluid rushing in your veins, making you shiver in the most wonderful way. Happiness is the force that pulls your cheeks up into the widest smile and makes your eyes twinkle. Happiness makes you light-headed and giddy, it is in fact like alcohol. Well then, I am utterly and completely drunk. When you're happy, everything feels amazing. Even small insignificant things like getting up in the morning. The golden hue of sunlight streaming in through the curtains feels like a soft caress from the hand of a lover. The birds seem to chirp sweetly outside, a melody to which the leaves sway as if mesmerised by their music. The curtains tango with the wind beautifully. Every little thing seems perfect. And that's a word I'd use to describe my life. Perfect. To give you a little introduction about me, let me start by explaining the most important aspects of my life. I have a loving family. There's my sarcastic, yet surprisingly sweet brother, my beautiful mother (both in looks and spirit) and my stern, yet humorous father. I have the best best friend, Charlotte and I have an amazing boyfriend, Theo. I'm quite beautiful and popular too which I'm not saying to brag, I'm just stating the truth. So that is my life. The life of Tia-Jade Garcia. *** What she didn't know was that every high has a low and that the higher you rise, the lower you fall and the more painful that fall is. Follow her story as she loses everybody she ever cared for and thereby her happiness. See her fight all of her demons by herself. Watch her fall in love...with herself because the only person's love you'll always need is yours. This is her self-love story.
