It was simple really. Just a kiss. But the way he did it was something else. He held her face like precious crystal and stroked her hair like fine silk. He looked at her, the way we watched the night sky filled with stars. Simple, but filled with so much adoration and wonder.

Never has anyone looked at me the way Sebastian looked at Kathryn that night. And for the rest my life, without me realizing it, I'd dream of someone to finally look at me like that. Like I mattered. That I was their world and more. But of course, without me realizing it, that was the catalyst of my never ending cycle of heart breaks and self destruction.
