Baldi has been teaching for 11 years, and he's never been happier. His students absolutely adore him and are always eager and ready to learn. But lately, class has gotten quieter. Students participate less. The overall demeanor of the class has turned grim. Baldi has no idea what's going on, but is forced to bite his tongue and smile as his students lose trust in him one by one.
Baldi turns to the principal; his closest friend, Kenneth, for help. Their friendship is put to the ultimate test as the source of the change is revealed.
