Le certezze arrivano alla fine della scrittura di ogni capitolo, quindi per ora si tratta dell'inizio, di una ventiquattrenne di New York, Avery, e la sua vita di ogni giorno.
La lettura è un viaggio, perché la scrittura dovrebbe essere diversa?
Spiegare l'idea è difficile, scrivere e leggere forse aiuterà a capire, ma vi lascio un indizio: i capitoli hanno per titolo una combinazione di numeri con un significato, ma quando verrà rivelato è tutto da scoprire.

"Mom!" I yell unattractively and begin to go to the living room that is by the stairs. I walk into there with my body slumped and notice something. We have company and I had five pairs of eyes on me. I straighten up and look at the bodies of whom the eyes belong to. One being my mom, her brown straight hair in a ponytail, nicely dressed, and wide eyed. Another is my brother, seven years old, blond tousled hair, he is also wearing something nice. Then I find three pairs of new eyes. One a women who has blonde curly hair, a female child also with the same hair, and then a highly attractive male who looks about my age. Seventeen. Malia is just like any other girl, goes to school, has friends, and makes new friends. This "highly attractive" male is her new neighbor. What happens when they begin talking? People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class,thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. Taking this as an opportunity, I pushed hard against his chest with my hands and rolled off to my left. I was on my knees one second and on my feet in another second. I walked on the nearly empty bus in New York City, which was very rare. It was the middle of the night and this was the last train going around the tracks. It was only me in the car for a few stops. I was hiding my face with a hoodie. I had my headphones in when he walked in. I looked up and our eyes met. He looked familiar and I quickly looked away. He's probably a fan and followed me. I probably met him at a meet and greet, at least that's what I thought. I felt a presence next to me and looked up to see the green/blue eyes that were so familiar. I took one of my earbuds out. "Hi?" I asked. "Hey. If you don't mind me asking, but where are you from?" He asked. "Let me know your name first." I said still cautious. I paused my music and wrapped the earbuds around my phone and put it in my pocket. "Denzel Weller." He said holding out his hand. "Rose Pitcher." I told him taking his hand. He looked so familiar. His name tried to break through a wall in my memories. I looked around us to see that there was one person left on the train besides us. I took my hood off revealing my turquoise hair. I just got it done and that's what I'm going to my hotel from. "So, where are you from?" He asked me. "We say where we're from at the same time." I told him. He nodded. "1.....2.......3!" I said. "LA." We said at the same time. I looked at him surprised. I took a closer look at him. He looked like he was around the same age as me, 21-22. I studied his features. He had smaller than average ears, an average sized nose, a strong jaw line, short medium brown hair, and then his eyes. An IV bag is behind me and everything is sterile here. Must be a hostipal I think to myself. I try then to think how I got here. I can even hear the gears in my brain trying to think how I got here. All I can remember is my 17th birthday party. I didnt have too much to drink I think? Then I hear a loud gasp that pulls me out of my thoughts and my friend Isabel has a shocked face and looks like shes about to drop her lunch tray that doesn't have much anyways. "Oh my god!
