Miles Boswell and August Sylvan are two teenagers who find solace in each other from a society with which they can't connect. Their relationship is perfect -- except, that is, for the fact that Miles has just acquired mind control powers. He finds his morality tested on a daily basis as he struggles to resist his twisted sense of judgment, while at the same time questioning whether or not August truly likes him or is just being manipulated by his power. Will she accept him for who he truly is? Or will he do something so terrible that it will be too late to matter?
NOTE: Each chapter starts with a song with lyrics that mirror the events of the chapter. I purposely chose songs that Miles or August would have listened to in 2001. If you're interested, look up the lyrics and listen to the song! I think it adds something a little special.

'You've trespassed too long. Abandon your homes or forsake your lives.' The priest refused without hesitation and stared the ten-foot wolf down."
