Lucas Vasquez considers himself a chameleon- not quite on the outside, not quite fitting in, but able to blend. College life isn't turning out to be the dream escape he'd expected it to be, and he hasn't yet found himself like everyone else seemed to.

Misael Guerrero has dealt with depression for most of his life just fine on his own. He had friends, he had hookups, he was away from a broken home which was as good as it could get for him. Even if his songs say otherwise.

A single song manages to entangle Misael's and Lucas's lives, drawing them to each other for distinct reasons. They create an unexpected friendship in which Lucas finds a new comfort in being himself with while Misael begins to understand what it is to be vulnerable. And with this friendship, feelings bloom that draw them to each other even more.

But when one person doesn't deem themselves worthy of love, there isn't much the other can do to change their mind. And when trust is broken, it's hard to get it back. Through their freshman year, Lucas and Misael learn who they are and what they can be by taking chances, seeking help, and finding a special hope with each other.
