Alexander was happily dating John. Everything was fine. Then it wasn't. John dumps him without telling him anything. But it gets better for him. He falls for his roommate. Sure, cheesy romance film esque, but he was happy. it took so long to find it after the breakup.
After breaking up with Alexander, John was fine. He was free from a clingy and sometimes idiotic boyfriend. But when he begins to see Alexander going out and falling in love with Thomas Jefferson of all people, it breaks his heart.
