Steve dragged his hands down his face, sighing heavily. "Fine. I really shouldn't be telling you this, but... you promise to go easy on her when I tell you?"

"You're asking the god of mischief to make a promise. Does that make any sense to you?"

"God damn it- you know what, fine. Kyle is Eleanor's ex-boyfriend, who abused her in a multitude of ways that really messed with her head. Tony found her after she had fled from Kyle, all bloody and bruised and hiding from some sketchy men in a bar. He brought her back here, trained her a bit, and now she's a part of the team while she's recovering. When you so rudely barged into her room, it triggered her memories and she probably had a panic attack. That room is like her safe space, it's the only place she feels comfortable enough to let it all out."

As I listen to Natasha's conversation, I hear the light footfalls of somebody trying to sneak through the room. I quietly and slowly get up, following the sound of the footsteps. I hear them falter, then stop altogether. I swing my arms around me, trying to get my bearings when I smack the wall with my hand. "Hello?" I say. I listen, but only hear silence. Loki comes to earth seeking redemption by himself. Of his own free will. But what happens when the Avengers find him helping old people across the busy streets of New york. Everyone on the street runs in fear. The old lady he was helping pats him on the arm and thanks him. Much to the Avengers surprise. Now there's this huge fight going on. Civilians are running in every direction trying to get away from the fight. Some are getting caught in the middle so Loki tries his best to get them away. But the Avengers thinking he's trying to hold a hostage makes the situation even worse. Now Loki needs to get the civilian out of the way and defend himself. He cast a shield around himself and the people. Teleporting the people away he drops the shield . "Listen to me!" Loki groaned as the Avengers ignored his pleas. "What did you do?!" There was so much going on he didn't even see who asked the question. He just answered without thinking."Nothing! You people are the ones that attacked first. As I was helping someone! What if they had gotten hurt?!" The Avengers faltered for just a second before straightening their resolve. As the fight went on Loki was getting tired of their incompetence. "Stop!" Loki yelled heavily out of breath. All the Avengers were frozen by Loki's magic. Even the almighty Thor. "You so-called avengers just attacked me unprovoked, risked multiple lives, and won't even listen to what I have to say." He turned to Thor. "But this must seem normal to you my "dear brother" seeing how this is just like the old days." There was a few minutes of silence before anything happened. People started to flood the streets again. Trying to get a glimpse at the action. "Now since I don't want any trouble, I'll come with you without a fight. Like I would have done before had you not shot at my ass! Now I'm going to drop the spell. But don't you dare fire at me!"

Her life with the heroes starts out rocky, she's not easily trusted and she doesn't trust easily. But something changes and she finds herself, a family. But when this distrustful, hateful and dark path that she had with the avengers is repeated again with Loki. She couldn't help but want to fix things. This decision leads to what life truly is. Love and hate. ----------------------- I really don't know how to describe this story better without giving it away so yeah 😃. Trust it's gonna be fire, VERY VERY SLOW BURN but there's a plot so I think it's worth it. !!Disclaimer!! She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. That is, until the god of mischief decides to attack New York and steal the Tesseract. Now (Y/N) must again face her inner demons as her powers quickly deem too much for her to handle, and all her feelings for Loki resurface even though she forces herself to see him as the enemy.
