An alternate universe where the characters of Overwatch are swapped with others. For example, Genji won the fight with Hanzo and became power hungry. Or, where Mercy was consumed by finishing Moira's work. Or, like where Reaper was healed by Moira, and became a vigilante.  I know Overwatch's community is becoming a ghost town, but still. When Hanzo enlists in the army to fight the war against the omnics, Jesse can't bring himself to miss out. Building limbs for soldiers and trying his best to contribute to the war at hand, he finds himself being sent to the base Hanzo inhabited. After he gets instructed to create limbs, he finally gets to meet one of the victims. Heartbroken, he fights to help him walk again. (ADDITIONAL NOTE: Omnics are the opposition in this, though everyone is human. Overwatch is kinda like a codename for whichever country Jesse and co. are fighting for, like Omnic would be a codename for their opposition.)

Genji has worked for Blackwatch ever since he was murdered by his own brother, being one of their highest ranking officers. However, after Genji makes a drastic mistake in an important mission, Commander Reyes decides it's best to demote him - all the way back to Novice. While struggling to deal with his anger, feeling betrayed and useless, Genji gets assigned a new mission to show he can, in fact, follow Reyes' orders: he is to welcome a Rookie to Blackwatch and watch over him for his first days. Regardless of Genji's rudeness, the Rookie is determined to be kind to the cyborg. He even seems to worry for Genji's wellbeing; it is something Genji isn't used to, and his feelings about it contradict everything he thought he knew about himself. He doesn't know when it happens, but the programmed omnic Rookie suddenly turns into the one person Genji can't live without.
