"How about we make a bet?" I asked, a sudden idea in my head. "What is it?" he lit yet another cigarette. "If I do shots with you," I already regretted this idea, "you need to quit smoking." His eyes lingered on me for a second too long, deep in thoughts. Neither of us had ever drunk alcohol, so it was a guaranteed mess. "Throw a date in there and it's a deal," he grinned, exhaling the smoke. Up until that night, Amalea King thought she had control over the change Luke Harper created in her life. A story of two paths crossing and a million of unfortunate events that unfolded.

It's funny how life goes. One minute you're friends with a person and the next they're beating the crap out of you. But what if all of this could've been prevented if someone had just said what they mean? "I can't believe that I fell for it. All your lies!" I shouted. "Okay, so what if I lied about my identity? I didn't lie when I said that I love you." * I'm dying with you Luke. You can't leave me alone. Not again.
